Absolutely Free! There is no entrance fees to this great temple. The only favour you have to do is to not carry your mobile or camera inside the temple. Mobiles/Cameras are strictly prohibited. Please keep quite and do not make any loud noices inside the temple.

This temple is situated near the foothills of the Vellangiri Mountains. Thus, you are going to enjoy a very good view.The Isha Temple is surrounded by thick forests. Isha foundation hosts a lot of yoga programs in this temple.

Adiyogi Shiva statue

One of the major attraction at Isha temple is the stupendous Adiyogi Shiva statue. This is the largest Shiva statue in the world.  The Adiyogi statue is a 34-metre-tall (112 ft), 45-metre-long (147 ft) and 7.62-metre-wide (24.99 ft) steel statue of the lord Shiva. Adiyogi was inaugurated on 24 February 2017 by the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, on the occasion of Maha Shivaratri.

The Isha Yoga Center is situated  in 30 KM west of Coimbatore which is a major city in Tamilnadu, South India. This city is well connected by road, rail, and air.

You can easily find a flight from Bangalore, Delhi, Chennai, and Mumbai.

Also, you can find train services from every major city to Coimbatore.

Driving Directions

Take the Perur/Siruvani Road through Ukkadam from Coimbatore. Drive past Alandurai and turn right at Irutupallam junction. Isha Yoga Center is another 8 kms from the junction (Irutupallam) and about 2 kms before Poondi Temple along this road. Signboards giving directions to the Dhyanalinga can be found en route.

If you love doing meditation, then you are going to love this place. This meditation space doesn’t require any particular belief system. Also, you don’t need to worry about doing any rituals or prayers. Sadhguru consecrated this place after a long three-year process. This process is also known as prana pratishta. Sadhguru performed this process before consecrating this place. Dhyanalinga is similar to a guru that has infinite energy. Thus, it is the perfect place to perform meditation.

The Theerthakunds are only preparatory tools that will prepare you for the Dhyanalinga. It is mandatory for everyone to take a bath before entering a sacred space. Thus, there are two theerthakunds at the Isha Yoga Center – the Chandrakund for women and Suryakund for men.

Chandrakund is 30 feet below the ground which can be reached by 32 massive steps. It is framed by giganti granite stones and vaulted by a colorful mural depicting the Mahakumbha Mela.

On the other had, Suryakund is larger and measures 130 by 40 feet, embedded 22 feet in the earth.It is surrounded on three sides by a wall of 200 massive, 50-ton granite blocks.

The water is energized by the submerged Rasalinga, weighing over 660kgs. A dip in this vibrant water significantly increases spiritual receptivity and also rejuvenates the body.

The material used in the theerthakunds is solidified mercury rasalingas. According to ancient scriptures, mercury is the most important substance in the alchemy world. Thus, Theertahkunds is also made from solidified mercury. This mercury is more than 99.8% pure and it was solidified at the normal room temperature. You might think that it is impossible. However, Sadhguru has used ancient science for solidifying these rasalingas.

The Theerthakunds are also very powerful. It will help you in balancing your energy. Thus, it will ultimately lead to your mental and physical wellbeing. It will ensure that you are ready to receive the energy of the Dhayanalinga.
