Hi, I’m Rohini 🙂 — I write about the everyday details of home, style, and living well, from a home base in Bangalore, India.
I started out in interior styling, helping friends and family redo small apartments on tight budgets long before it was ever a job. That eventually turned into freelance home-styling work, and somewhere in the middle of sourcing furniture and testing paint samples, I started writing down what I was learning — what actually works, what’s worth the money, and what isn’t.
From there, the writing grew into everything around it: the outfits that make a small space feel put-together, the skincare and haircare routines that survive a real morning schedule, the recipes I actually cook on a weeknight, and the trips I take when I need to remember why I love doing this in the first place. Beauty and fashion, for me, were never separate from home and lifestyle — they’re all part of the same question: how do you make daily life feel a little more considered?
This site started years ago as a much broader blog covering everything from finance to current affairs. Over time I realized I was writing best — and most usefully — about the things I actually live and test myself: home, style, beauty, food, travel, and the small wellness habits that hold a routine together. I’ve since narrowed the site to focus on exactly that, and retired the topics I was never the right person to write about.
Everything here comes from things I’ve tried, rooms I’ve actually redone, products I’ve actually used up to the last drop, and places I’ve actually been — not aggregated advice. If I haven’t tested it myself, I’ll say so.
You can reach me anytime at rohiniusblog@gmail.com — I read everything, especially if you’ve tried one of these ideas yourself and want to tell me how it went.
