Khoya Matar Dish

Ingredients :-

 

200 gm khoya – mashed roughly

2 cups shelled peas

4 tbsp oil

1/4 cup ready made tomato puree

1 tbsp red chilli powder

1 tsp jeera powder

3/4 tsp graram masala powder

6-8 cashewnuts – split into 2 pieces

1 tbsp salt

Grind together (onion paste)

2 onions

2 dry red chillies

1″ piece ginger

 

Method :-

 

1. In a dish, mix oil and onion paste. Microwave for 8 min.
2. Add tomato puree, garam masala, red chilli powder, jeera powder, peas and 1/4 cup water. Mix well.
3. Microwave for 4 min
4. Add salt, khoya and 1/2 cup water. Mix gently to prevent khoya from getting mashed. Sprinkle cashew halves.
5. Microwave for 3 min. Serve hot.
